The job description is for SME for piping stress analysis. We are looking for passionate candidate that want to help develop world’s leading pipe stress analysis software. The primary goal for this job is to read and interpret technical piping codes and std. and create sample calculations using software such as MathCAD. These calculations will used by development to implement the technical code. The SME will also create QA jobs for technical features and test plans. Some prior knowledge of scripting will be very helpful. Eventually this position can do some programming for engineering feature.

The SME will share their industry experience to improve the software workflow. They will be sharing their experience with Product owners; help answer engineering support questions.  They may also have to present technical webinars to users. They will interact with users on technical topics on CAESAR II discussion forum and LinkedIn.

Requirements for SME (CAESAR II)

1. A Bachelor's Engineering degree, either Mechanical or Civil.  A Master's degree would be preferable.
2. 10-15 years of Engineering project experience (Onshore/Offshore) on performing piping stress analysis, reviewing calculations.

2. Ten to fifteen years of Engineering project experience, performing analysis, reviewing calculations.
3. Experience in utilizing (reading, understanding, implementing, performing calculations) piping codes (ASME B31.1, 3, 4, 8 or equivalent) and environmental standards (such as ASCE, IS or EN).
4. Experience in utilizing (reading, understanding, implementing, performing calculations) equipment standards (API, ANSI, NEMA,..).
5. The ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing) is very important. The ability to write documentation, technical papers, and prepare (technical) presentation is a strong plus. The ability to present concepts to a group is a plus. Need to demonstrate experience presenting virtually to audience clearly and in organized manner.
6. An understanding of plant design/construction process. Understanding how piping design and (piping) system performance interfaces with the other systems and departments in a plant is preferred.
7. Prior programming experience is desired.
8. Some experience managing or mentoring other Engineers and team members is a plus. Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders is a necessary skill.  The ability to solve problems within the team and across teams is important for success.

      9. An understanding of QA programs and processes is necessary. Knowledge of ISO-9001 is a                    requirement, and knowledge of NQA-1 is a plus.
